"I was literally abducted at gunpoint" - nollywood actor Kalu Ikweagu
A few days ago, news broke out about the supposed arrest and kidnapping of veteran nollywood actor Kalu Ikweagu, however the popular actor took to social media to issue a statement and put an end to the rumours flying around. He wrote:
'Just to clear the air, I have this to say. I was literally abducted at gunpoint by earring wearing men purported to be policemen (they were five) in an unmarked Hiace bus with civilian number plates and fake identity cards. They first claimed to be working on an abduction Abuja case which changed to a robbery case, all while in transit.
Even on getting to the police station I was not allowed to go in to the premises but was held outside . I repeatedly asked to go into the station where I'd feel safer to ask whatever questions that were burning in my mind regarding my traumatic experience. It did not happen. Instead they told me a phone used for a kidnap was being sought for, later the story changed to robbery then back to kidnap.
As I write this piece I have not written any police statement in any police station which strikes me as very odd. I'm still wondering why I was molested and kidnapped just because a purported phone no was supposedly tracked to phone. Why would they have to harass me when they already had details of the buyer and seller of the phone? In a legitimate situation, the seller of the stolen phone should be the key witness in this investigation, but in this case the police are till now very reluctant to meet the seller.
I know there are mysteries I need to unravel in this case and I will try to get answers to them. It's so pathetic that one can get bad publicity from Nigerian media just because they're so much in a hurry to copy that they forget the importance of confirmation from all the parties involved. Publishing a story based solely on a neighbour's account isn't true journalism, that's pure gossip and slander. We need real facts from the media and we need protection from the police and not molestation.

How To Rock A Denim on Denim Outfit
Denim is a sturdy cotton fabric which is to make jeans, shirts, jackets and other clothing items. The word 'Denim' was derived from the phrase 'Serge de Nimes' meaning 'Serge from Nimes.' Nimes is a town in France where the fabric was first produced.
Ever since it was first produced, outfits made from denim have survived the test of time and are still very relevant in modern fashion especially since they are comfortable to wear.
Denim has inspired many fashion trends with the most recent one being the denim shirt on jeans which is fashionably called 'Denim on Denim' or 'Double Denim' trend.
The 'Denim on Denim' trend is very popular among people of all ages. Even celebrities like Beyonce, Kim Khardashian, Kanye West, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and more have been spotted once or twice doing justice to their 'Double Denim' outfits.
Double denim outfits are ideal for casual occassions and are appropriate for both guys and ladies. There aren't a lot of options for the guys who want to rock denim. All you need is a pair of skinny jeans and a denim shirt however, you must make sure that both your shirt and jeans fit well so as not to look old fashioned. Also you don't want to tuck your shirt in because it is unfortunately old fashioned as well. You can either go for a baggy shirt over skinny jeans or the other way round. You can also tie your denim shirt around your waist over a pair of skinny or baggy jeans to get that denim on denim effect on a hot day.
The ladies have more options than the guys when it comes to the 'Denim on Denim' trend. Whilst tucking in might not be a good idea for guys, it's absolutely stylish when ladies tuck a denim shirt into a pair of high waist skinny jeans or denim skirt. Just like the guys, ladies can as well tie a denim shirt over skinny jeans or denim shorts. Unlike the guys, baggy jeans look very unflattering on ladies so you may want to steer clear off them.
When it comes to accessorising double denim, all you need is black. Black matches with everything and denim is no exception. A pair of black loafers or sandals for the guys and high heeled shoes or flats as well as gladiator sandals for the ladies. Both guys and ladies can also go for a pair of canvas sneakers. You can top up your look with with a watch, a gold bracelet, or a simple neck piece.
Whether you're going for a simple look or a sophisticated look it is no secret that 'Denim on Denim' is all you need to make a lasting impression wherever you go.
